Alpha runs for ten weeks and looks at some of the major questions of life and faith in a relaxed and informal way. Each session has the same structure; we start with a hot meal – which is provided – and then watch a film which lasts about half an hour. The film covers some aspect of life or faith. Alpha asks some really key questions such as:
- Is this all that there is?
- What’s life for?
- Who is Jesus and why did He die?
- What does it mean to have faith?
Then there is an opportunity to talk about it. You can talk, share, question or simply listen – there’s no pressure in any way on Alpha. You don’t need any prior knowledge, experience or information – it’s for anyone and everyone.
If you think you might be interested why not come along and join us? We usually meet on Wednesday evenings in the Parish Centre – The St. Christopher Centre – starting with a meal at 7.00 and finishing at 9.00.
